Handley Williams Lacrosse Scholarship

2023 Scholarship Details

The Handley Williams Lacrosse Scholarship was created in 2020 through an initial donation from Tidewater Lacrosse Founder, Staci Williams along with her fundraising efforts within the Tidewater Lacrosse Community.  Staci Williams started her playing days in 1997 as a Division I athlete and then moved around the U.S. for 15 years coaching on the high school, club and the Division I and III levels.  Staci attributes her positive attitude and success in life based on the skills she learned playing organized team sports and being involved with her community.  This is her way of giving back and helping others to succeed in life.

This scholarship is open to any high school lacrosse senior in Hampton Roads that will be attending educational training full time or entering in the U.S. Military in the Summer/Fall 2023 who have demonstrated passion and commitment in academics, extracurricular activities, leadership, and community service.

Two scholarships are awarded annually for one male and one female high school lacrosse senior. To be eligible for the scholarship, candidates must submit an application, recommendation letter from a coach, teacher, or school administrator, and complete a 350-500 word essay on ways they demonstrated passion and commitment in academics, extracurricular activities, leadership, and community service.  For more information or to apply, please send an email with the subject The Handley Lacrosse Scholarship and the required information along with your name, phone, and mailing address to TidewaterLacrosse@yahoo.com
